About the Business e-Visa
The Nigeria e-Visa for business is an electronic authorization allowing foreign nationals to travel to Nigeria for short-term business activities such as meetings, conferences, seminars, contract negotiations, marketing, sales, and procurement of Nigerian goods. As of May 1, 2025, the Visa on Arrival (VoA) system has been replaced by a mandatory e-Visa application process through the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) portal.

Required Documents for Business e-Visa
Valid Passport
Must have at least 6 months validity and at least 2 blank pages.
Invitation Letter
Official letter from the host company in Nigeria, stating the purpose of the visit and accepting immigration responsibility.
Return Ticket
Evidence of a booked return or onward flight.
Recent Passport Photograph
35mm/45mm with a white background
CAC Certificate
Certificate of Incorporation of the Nigerian host company (NB: Africa Re Supporting documents will be provided and suffice for the request).
Accommodation
Hotel reservation indicating host's address in Nigeria.
Application Procedure
Step 01
Go to the official Nigeria Immigration Service e-Visa website https://evisa.immigration.gov.ng/

Step 02
Register, select the appropriate business visa category (F4A for Single – Business visa), and fill in the application form.

Step 03
Scan and upload all required documents.

Step 04
Pay the visa fee online via credit/debit card.

Step 05
Upon approval, a visa approval letter will be emailed to you.

Step 06
Print the approval letter and present it along with your passport at the port of entry in Nigeria.

Other Information
Citizens of ECOWAS member states and other West African nationals do not require a visa to visit Nigeria. In addition, nationals of Cameroon can travel to Nigeria without a visa.
Ineligible Countries
As of May 2025, these countries are listed as ineligible for the online e-Visa and must apply through a Nigerian Embassy in their respective locations.

Important Information for all Delegates
LANDING CARDS
Travellers entering or departing Nigeria are required to complete an online landing and exit card application. This initiative is part of the Nigeria Immigration Service's efforts to enhance border management by enabling more effective monitoring of travellers' duration of stay and identifying individuals who overstay their permitted time in the country
EMPLOYMENT RESTRICTIONS
The business e-Visa does not allow for direct employment in Nigeria.
OVERSTAY PENALTIES
Short-visit e-Visas cannot be converted into work permits or long-term residence permits while in Nigeria. A $15 daily fine applies for overstaying, with potential bans for extended overstays.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for all travelers entering Nigeria.
